The Wheel Scroll Custom Rule allows you to choose between the Precision or Adaptive option.

New: Dynamic Scroll Custom Rule

The Dynamic Scroll Custom Rule option allows you to apply different dynamic scroll modes based on the modality of the series.

New: Series Picker Settings Consolidated

All configuration options for Series Picker Thumbnails are now in one location, so that you can save time when customizing your settings.

New: Open Anywhere Series Picker in the last saved location

The Anywhere Series Picker Last Saved Location option allows the location to persist when the Anywhere Series Picker is closed and reopened.

New: Mammography Settings Consolidated

All configuration options for mammography are now in one location, so that you can save time when customizing your settings.

New: Enable Breast Tomo Scout

You can enable a position indicator to display when viewing tomosynthesis series to more easily reference the slice position within the breast.

New: Apply Height Alignment to Breast Pair

The Height Alignment setting was added to Zoom to Breast Bounds functionality so you can have more control over vertical breast pair alignment.

New: Compare Same Series

The Compare Same Series setting allows you to stack the right-most viewport of the Compare Same Series View (Alt+G) with priors for more efficient reading.

Update: CAD Display

Several settings were added to the Show CAD functionality to allow you to automatically display CAD at the end of the reading protocol, so that you can compare CAD with your findings and reduce the number of commands required to review a study.

New: Enable Bicubic Upscaling or Downscaling

Use the image display settings to adjust the scaling method of mammography images to improve image quality.

New: Skip Extra Steps that Contain Priors Only

The Skip Extra Steps setting allows you to ignore extra steps in prior studies that have no link to the current study for a more efficient reading experience.

New: Show Slider Bar for Initial Display

You can hide/unhide the slider bar when it is in the way of the anatomy.

New: Relocate Slider Bar within Viewport

You can relocate the Slider Bar so that it does not cover the anatomy you want to observe.

New: Save Reading Protocols to Other Users

You can copy reading protocols to other users for a more efficient reading experience.

New: Apply Sampling for Large Volume Slab

Enabling the Apply Sampling for Large Volume Slab setting improves performance when displaying large volume slabs, with minor decreases in image quality.

New: GE EchoPAC Integration

Synapse supports the integration of GE EchoPAC to perform advanced quantification and manipulation of ultrasound images.

New: Caching Status

The Caching Status column (formerly called the Subscription Status column) is available in the Worklist, PowerJacket, and Viewer study list grid. The column displays an icon next to a study that is locally cached.

New: CV Migrated Studies

The Is CV Migrated icon column displays in the Worklist, PowerJacket, and Viewer study list. The column displays an icon next to studies migrated from Synapse CV. When you open a CV migrated study, the Viewer does not display the CRA button, and the CRA application does not automatically open.

New: Time Since Complete

The Time Since Complete settings determine what displays in the Time Since Complete column on an Unread Studies Worklist. Users can configure the Time Since Complete column to display one of the following options:

• The time elapsed since the study was set to Complete.
• A color progress bar.
• Both the time elapsed since the study was set to Complete and a color progress bar.

New: Reservation Enhancements

With appropriate privileges, you can now:

• Add optional comments to a reservation you create for yourself or another user.
• Select multiple studies to reserve for yourself or another user.
• Change the duration of a reservation, leave it as is, or set it to No Expiration.

Additionally, the All Reservations and Global All Reservations Worklists display a Comments column.

New: Send an HL7 Message

With appropriate privileges, you can send an HL7 message from the local, Global, or My History Worklist.

Update: Resv. Creation Timestamp Column Enhancements

When a reservation exceeds the Reservation Threshold Alert, configurable in SWAT, the value displayed in the Resv. Creation Timestamp column for the reservation turns yellow.

Additionally, you can search for studies that were reserved greater than a specified number of days ago.

New: Sharing a QBE Worklist

You can share a custom QBE Worklist that you create. You (the folder owner) can create, share, update, and delete custom QBE folders. You must have the Share QBE Worklist privilege to share a QBE Worklist. See your System Administrator for more information.

New: Launch Synapse Analytics

With appropriate privileges, you can launch Synapse Analytics from the Worklist or PowerJacket. Synapse Analytics supports single sign-on (SSO) authentication from Synapse PACS and is only available in the US.

Update: Anonymize Menu Option

The menu option Anonymize text overlay has been renamed Anonymize.

Image View helps to correctly identify an image for stress echo interpretation and image layout for comparison.

The Multiframe Indicator displays an indicator on the thumbnail when a series contains multiframe images.

New: Indicator for Annotation/CAD/AI

The Multiframe Indicator displays an indicator on the thumbnail when a series contains annotations, Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State (GSPS), Computer-Aided Detection (CAD), or Artificial Intelligence (AI) findings.

New: Enable 1-click update of series to viewport

You can click a thumbnail/series to fill in the viewports without needing to drag and drop.

Update: Ruler Calibration

You can only perform manual calibration on a ruler but the calibration applies to the whole image and all of its annotations.

Update: MR Pixel Value Measurement

Pixel values are now included in ROI measurements of MRI images.

Update: Peak SUV on PET CT Measurement

You can determine peak SUV for a ROI sphere of any size to assess small hot spots without interference from adjacent tissue.

New: Series Viewer Demographic Information

Patient demographics now displays in the series viewer to ensure that you are viewing the correct patient when multiple windows are open.

Update: MG Slab Scrolling at 50% Slab Thickness

When you set a slab thickness for MG studies, scrolling occurs at 50% of the slab thickness.

Update: 2D/3D Toggle Cycles through All Tomography studies with the Same Frame of Reference UID

You can view thick and thin tomosynthesis seriesfor a given view separately so that you can easily distinguish between the different series. You can also view tomosynthesis seriesof repeated views separately to easily navigate between the series.

Update: Hotkey or Context Menu Function Automatically Pauses Cine

When radiology studies are in cine mode, shortcut keys and context menu functions will pause cine, except for certain functions.

Update: Persistence of image Modifications in Comparison Studies

Modifications to series in the current study persist when you advance through priors using the Next Group of Comparisons command.

Update: Pan Image in All Directions in Viewport

You can zoom and pan flexibly on left, right, or center-justified mammograms to make full use of the viewport space to view images.

New: Free Pan

You can drag and pan an image or series in a viewport. If you have Link Zoom/Pan (LZP) enabled, Synapse does not change the position of any linked images.

Update: 2D Slab Thickness Overlay

When you enable 2D Slab Thickness, Synapse replaces the THK value with Xnnn where nnn represents the number of images that comprise the slabbed image.

New: Pseudoaneurysms

You can add, drag, update properties, and delete Pseudoaneurysms.

You can add up to two pseudoaneurysms to a vessel segment or graft.

When you delete apseudoaneurysm, Synapse deletes the pseudoaneurysm and all the associated data.

Update: Pseudoaneurysm Carry Over

Synapse carries over anatomy data for pseudoaneurysm and displays carried-overpseudoaneurysms created before Synapse PACS 7.4 with the originating point as the endpoint.

Update: Wall Motion Scoring Diagrams

Adult TTE, stress echo, and congenital reports now use a 16-segment diagram.

Update: Segment

• Extend an existing vessel
  •  You can add additional vessel segments to an extend a vessel.
  • When you extend a vessel, you cannot terminate that vessel on the termination point of another vessel.
• Create a branched vessel
  •  You can attach each endpoint to the middle of two different vessel segments to create a branch.
  • You can attach the endpoint of a detached segment to the middle of another segment to create a branch.
  • A vessel cannot originate and terminate in the same vessel segment.

Update: Docking Update for Properties Panel

You can move the properties panel to your preferred position, but you cannot move the properties panel outside of the browser window.

By default, the properties panel is undocked when you first open a study.
