Adding the Synapse Server to the Trusted Zone
The Synapse server should be in the Windows trusted zone. To add the Synapse server to the trusted zone:
- Select the Security tab under Internet Options.
- Select Trusted Sites.
- Click Sites.
- Enter the Synapse server URL under Add this website to the zone.
- Click Add.
- Click Close.
- Click OK.
Configuring Automatic Logon with Current Username and Password

Steps
- Add the site URL to the Trusted Zone. See Adding the Synapse Server to the Trusted Zone.
- In the Internet Properties dialog select the Security tab under Internet Options.
- Select Trusted Sites.
- Click Custom Level.
- In the User Authentication section, the last option in the Settings window, select Automatic logon with current username and password.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
Avoiding a White Flash
Sometimes when you close a window, a white flash occurs due to a Windows 10 OS setting. To avoid this:
- In Windows 10 or later, enter the following text into the Windows search box: Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
- Select Visual Effects > Custom.
- Clear Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing.
- Click OK.
Ensuring Optimum Performance for Subscription Users
To ensure optimum performance for Subscription users, set Workstation refresh rate to a minimum of 60HZ:
- Right-click your desktop and select Display Settings.
- Select Display > Advanced display settings.
- Click Display adapter properties for Display your monitor.
- Select the Monitor tab.
- Select the drop-down box for Screen refresh rate and select 60 Hertz.
- Click OK.
- Click X to close the Display Settings.
Disabling Clipboard History
To ensure that patient data is not left in the Clipboard history after signing out, disable the Windows Clipboard history.
For kiosk-type workstations, Clipboard history should be disabled.
- In Windows 10 or later, enter the following text into the Windows search box: Clipboard.
- Select Clipboard Settings.
