Using the Frame Slider
When you are using cine, Synapse displays images sequentially, at a controlled rate, measured in frames per second (fps). Synapse uses the default frame rate specified in the DICOM header. If no rate is specified in the DICOM header or in cine settings, the rate is 30 fps. Cine settings have the following fps ranges:
- Single image speed range is .033 to 1 (1 to 30 seconds).
- Non multiframe image range is 0.5 to 120.
The current fps displays when the cine is playing. You can use the slider to adjust the fps.
Steps
- Click the cine toolbar and drag the slider to set the fps speed.
- Optional: Use the slider bar or roll the mouse wheel forward to increase the fps.
- Optional: Use the slider bar or roll the mouse wheel backward to decrease the fps.
Additional Information
- When you adjust the frame rate for a non multiframe viewport, it will automatically update the user setting for that modality.
- The cine toolbar does not display in the viewport if there is only a single frame.
- In most cases, Synapse can only play cine up to 60 fps.
