Using DICOM Transfer for Studies or Series

Use the DICOM Transfer option to export a series or a study to a configured destination. If a server is not available in the Select a destination list, see your System Administrator.

Note:

You can only export one series at a time. You cannot select and export multiple series.

Prerequisites

You must have the DICOM Transfer privilege to use the DICOM Transfer option.

Steps

    Complete these steps ...

    Export one or more studies.
    • Open the All Studies Worklist and select one or more studies.
    • Right-click the selected study or studies to display a context menu.
    • Select DICOM Transfer > To Destination. Synapse displays the DICOM Transfer - to DICOM Destination dialog box.

    Export a series.
    • In the Viewer, right-click the series you want to export.
    • Select DICOM Transfer. Synapse displays the DICOM Transfer - to DICOM Destination dialog box.
  1.  Optional: Enter your search criteria in either the Search Destination or Search Label text box to filter the destination options,.
    • As you type, you will see the matching results display.
  2. Select a server from the Select a destination list.
  3. Click Start Transfer. Synapse displays the transfer status as Pending.

Results

When Synapse completes the transfer of the study or series, the status changes to Success.

Note:
  • When you export a study, all annotations associated with the study are exported with the study.
  • When you export a series, the annotations are not exported with the series.

Additional Options

Click DICOM Transfer   on the icon menu.
