Configuring Series Picker Settings

You can customize the following settings for your specific site and study in the Series Picker settings tab:

Anywhere Series Picker Display Settings

Use the Anywhere Series Picker Display settings to configure how Synapse displays the Anywhere Series Picker. Your System Administrator or a user with the appropriate privilege selects or clears these settings at the Enterprise, Role, or User level using Administrator Mode.

Setting	Description
Open Anywhere Series Picker in the last saved location	When selected, the location persists when the Anywhere Series Picker is closed and reopened. This setting is cleared by default. The default location is where the Anywhere Series Picker is initially opened in the Viewer. When cleared, the Anywhere Series Picker opens from the default location, but opens to its previous size. Note: If you change your workstation and the monitor location is invalid (for example, the monitor orientation changed or the number of monitors changed), the Anywhere Series Picker opens at the default location.

Series Picker Display Settings

Use the Series Picker Display settings to configure how Synapse displays the Series Picker. Your System Administrator or a user with the appropriate privilege can select or clear these settings at the Enterprise, Role, or User level using Administrator Mode.

Setting	Description
Series Picker split scroll bar	Select this option to split the Series Picker toolbar into two toolbars, one for the current study and one for prior studies. This setting is cleared by default.
Disable Thumbnail Series Description	Select one or more modalities to exclude the thumbnail series description in the Series Picker toolbar and the Anywhere Series Picker. This setting is cleared by default for all modalities. Note: For ultrasound virtual series, the series description always displays even if you select the Disable Thumbnail Series Description setting for the US modality.
Show Indicator on Thumbnail for	Annotations and GSPS: Select this option to display an indicator on the thumbnail when a series contains annotations or Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State (GSPS) objects. Annotations: Includes annotations saved directly in Synapse, except for 3D sphere and Volumizable Spine labels. GSPS: Includes anything triggered using the GSPS Icon on the bottom of the viewport with supported displayable graphic objects. This includes Fujifilm and third-party GSPS objects. CAD and AI: Select this option to display an indicator on the thumbnail when a series contains Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) findings. This indicator displays in the Series Picker and the Anywhere Series Picker when the Anywhere Series Picker is opened from the Viewer. Multiframe images: Select this option to display an indicator on the thumbnail when a series contains multiframe images. This indicator displays in the Series Picker and the Anywhere Series Picker when the Anywhere Series Picker is opened from the Viewer. This setting is cleared by default. Note: Annotations and GSPS and CAD and AI share the same indicator.
Enable 1-click update of series to viewport	Select this option to allow you to single-click on a thumbnail/series to fill in the viewports without requiring you to drag and drop. This option does not suport for MG. This setting is cleared by default.

Check Mark for Images Viewed Setting

Show Checkmark in Series Picker if All Images Viewed in Series	This setting allows you to specify whether to see a check mark on the thumbnail for a series in the Series Picker if you have viewed all images. Select which modalities should display check marks on the thumbnails. The MG modality is selected by default. If no modality is selected, check marks do not display on any thumbnail.

This setting allows you to specify whether to see a check mark on the thumbnail for a series in the Series Picker if you have viewed all images.

Select which modalities should display check marks on the thumbnails.
The MG modality is selected by default.
If no modality is selected, check marks do not display on any thumbnail.

Results

Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.

Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
